Keyword Ranges

Keyword Ranges in Final Cut Pro X are the perfect embodiment of Content Metadata. The Range covers the part of the media file that the Keyword relates to.  In more classically designed NLEs a range would be defined by a Marker or Subclip. Subclips were further collected (manually) into Bins that are the Content description: filling the role of keyword in FCP X.

Keyword Collections

In Final Cut Pro X Keyword Ranges automatically collect into Keyword Collections. Each media range covered by a Keyword, is collected into the Collection for that Keyword.
